Despite a relatively modest start with his debut in the 1999 film “Ananta Bhalobasha,” it wasn’t until the success of “Priya Amar Priya” in 2008 that Khan gained widespread fame, setting box office records and solidifying his position as a leading actor.

His stage name, “Shakib Khan,” was given to him by Sohanur Rahman Sohan.
