biography of Mohammad Sheikh Kamaluddin Sharon
Mohammad Sheikh Kamaluddin Sharon is a Bangladeshi writer, poet, politician and columnist. He was born on 3 April 1994 in a noble and pious Muslim family in Itna Upazila, Kishoreganj District, a politically influential region of Bangladesh. His father’s name is Mohammad Montaz Uddin Fakir and his mother’s name is Fatema Begum. He has tree brothers and one sister. He is the second among his siblings. His elder brother is Mohammad Billal Hussain, his younger sister is Taslima Akhter and his younger brother is Peot. Mohammad Sheikh Shahinur Rahman.
He grew up in poverty in a house made of paddy straw in Ajupara village, an agriculturally dependent area of Bangladesh. His parents encouraged him to be self-educated and he used to collect and read old books of his friends. He established a foundation named after his parents for the poor, helpless and destitute people, which is called “Montaz-Fatema Foundation”. Its slogan is “engaged in the welfare of people and nature”.
He entered politics in 2003 as the leader of the Jatiya Party/Jatiya Chhatra Samaj, the main opposition party in the National Parliament of Bangladesh. He was seriously injured by political miscreants in 2012. He prepared to contest as a Member of Parliament in the 2014 national elections. He is a possible MP candidate from the Jatiya Party, the main opposition party of the National Assembly, from Kishoreganj-165 (Itna, Mithamain and Ashtagram, Kishoreganj-4) in the next 13th National Assembly Elections.
He is also a prolific writer and columnist who writes on various social issues and tries to create awareness among the people through his writings. He has published novels, short stories, poems, essays, columns, criticisms and memoirs. His writings have been published in various national media. He is an accomplished writer and politician who uses language to express his ideas well and contributes to the culture of the society. He writes on topics such as social consciousness, liberation war, humanism and history.
