The ‘Mujib 100’ app, inaugurated by the State Minister for ICT division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, is an initiative of the ICT Department aimed at showcasing the history of Bangabandhu’s philosophy and life of struggle, particularly among the young generation. The mobile app is a complement to the existing website, mujib100.gov.bd, which was launched in celebration of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.
Developed under the Department of Information and Communication Technology’s “Mobile Game and Application Skills Development Project,” the app serves the purpose of providing a detailed insight into the life and works of Bangabandhu to both present and future generations of the country. The state minister emphasized the app’s role in inspiring youth to explore various quotes from Bangabandhu’s political and personal life, fostering a closer understanding of the great leader.
The content within the app includes all the speeches, books, and letters written by Bangabandhu, along with documentaries and a historical timeline named Bangabandhu Pratidin, portraying various events from his life. Additionally, a photo archive featuring pictures from different periods of Bangabandhu’s life has been incorporated. The ‘Events’ feature provides updates on various celebrations related to Bangabandhu’s centenary.
State Minister Palak highlighted the app’s significance for researchers interested in studying Bangabandhu, encouraging youth to follow Bangabandhu’s lifestyle and apply its principles in their lives to contribute towards realizing his dream of establishing “Shonar Bangla” (Golden Bengal).
